Bromley Football Club have confirmed that they will be offering “Football for a Fiver” for the visit of Charlton Athletic.

The game on Tuesday 15th November in the Kent Senior Cup will be sponsored by portablefloodlights.com.

Speaking about the initiative, Head of Club Development, Jeff Hutton said: “Our supporters have often been disappointed that we charge full price for county cup ties. Although we have always understood their feelings we have also had to accept that any reduction in ticket prices would need to be accompanied with an increase in the attendance by the same percentage in order for the idea to have worked.

“In the past, this has always been deemed as too much of a risk. However, with the support of our fans and Addicks supporters we really feel the Football for a Fiver initiative could help draw a crowd for our Kent Senior Cup fixture, helping to make the ticket price reduction a success. If this works it may lead to further match day ticket initiatives in future.”

The Kent Senior Cup fixture on Tuesday 15th November will kick off at 7:45pm and will herald the return of Charlton Athletic to the competition. They have agreed to support the idea and will be doing their best to promote the game to their fans and in the local media.

Hutton added: “We have a great relationship with Charlton Athletic and thank them greatly for their support in agreeing to the reduced ticket price and also for allowing us to copy their successful Football for a Fiver initiative.”

Admission for adults, seniors, students and children will cost just £5. Advance tickets will be on sale from the box office at Charlton Athletic and from Bromley Football Club. Full details to follow next week.
